use it BEFORE mascara. try to clamp it first, near the base of your lashes (dont clamp too hard), then, the middle of your lashes, then the tip of your lashes for a more natural, bendable look, then swipe your lashes up with your favorite mascara.

First of all, you should always use an eyelash curler BEFORE you put on mascara. If you use it afterwards, your lashes can stick to the curler & may be pulled out, defeating the purpose of the curler & mascara!
To use a curler, first position it as close to your lashline as possible & gently squeeze the curler onto your lashes. Hold for a few seconds, then release & move the curler up your lashes & squeeze & hold again. Repeat this until you’ve reached the desired curl & apply mascara.
Don’t ever heat a metal eyelash curler with a hairdryer – I used to see this tip in magazines & it’s a disaster waiting to happen. You could burn the delicate skin around your eyes.
Shu Uemura makes a great eyelash curler for about $18.00 (sephora.com). Hope this helps!

Then apply your mascara on the lashes and, voila, you’re ready to go!

if u do it after, it breaks ur lashes. not good.

before for sure…cus them ur eyelashes become all clumpy & stiff, as well as sticking togther…

You take the eyelash curler & put it close to ur eyelashes & squeeze the curler to curl ur eyelashes…make sure you use it before you put mascara on.
