What Color Eyeshadow Is Best For My Hazel Eyes?
Hi. I have been trying out/experimenting with various colors of eyeshadow for a WHILE now & i just can’t find the right color!! When i try dark, my eyes look very gloomy but with light they don’t ‘pop’. So because of this i have given up on wearing eyeshadow. And i only wear eyeliner occasionally because, well to be truthful i don’t like the way ti looks on me, maybe because its black, & thats a bit too bold? i think brown would look better, but how about purple? – green?
please observe these 4 pics (don’t look at any others please) & tell me which color of eyeshadow would look best on me, & if dark, light or medium is best.
I’m not wearing any makeup in the pics except for the obvious red lip. And yes i do have eyelashes, lol, but they didn’t appear too well in the photos ![]()

hey i figured since we are the same age i could help you more.
i have hazel eyes too, green on the outer part of the iris with brown flecks round the pupils & i think that purple, grey, gold/brown eyeshadows look best for our eyes.
the reason you look younger is coz u aren’t wearing any make-up but also because at 15 we still have puppy fat & we don’t lose that until we are older. if i don’t wear make-up i look younger too.

I would go with a really dark brown with a hint of gold on your whole lid, & then add a spicey red color;
hm
like this maybe?http://12.media.tumblr.com/xqx4FJzpXk8px…

I’d go with purples, they would look really good with your eye color.

I have hazel eyes too & I use purples & blues to make them stand out. Using brown mascara will helps them stand out too but don’t load it on or else you won’t look good & no one wants that.
Hope this helps

how old are you? :/
i think light pinks & brown eyeshadows look best on hazel eyes. try a gold eyeliner on the top lid & a mid brown eyeliner on the bottom. that might work.

Believe it or not, you are a very lucky person! Hazel-eyed people can wear just about any color. The reason why you are having problems with the darks, is you are probably choosing colors that have a grey undertone in them. Grey undertones make you look, well, dead. They don’t work on me either. Stick to the lighter colors like pinks & purples. If you want to go darker, instead of using a darker purple with a grey undertone, opt for a true plum with a touch of red undertone. Blues are tricky, stick to the ones with a pink or purple undertone. Do not overdo the blues! You can also use the Almay I-Color line in hazel, green or brown eyes. Stay away from the Intense color line in Almay, as they have a grey undertone & do not look flattering at all. The purples are horrendous! I have them & I do not wear them at all(I tried them on once), but they gave it to me as a courtesy sample.
Have fun & enjoy life.
Oh, you’re 15, don’t sweat it that you look younger. You will be thankful when you are 30 & look 20! Basically, I am saying, don’t rush to grow up.
I am 42 & people think I am still in my 30’s!
