biotin is the main ingredient in most of the products you take to make your hair or nails grow. I’ve had people tell me it really works but haven’t taken biotin myself.
one thing i recommend is even pre-natal vitamins, when you are pregnant your hair & nails grow like crazy!
I’ve heard that Lindsey lohan takes them, not sure how reliable that is.

Biotin is a vital nutrient to have in one’s diet. However, taking a biotin supplement is unnecessary. I doubt consuming extra biotin will affect your eyelashes. For healthy hair growth, a balanced diet is important. A diet lacking in biotin, could stop the growth of hair. However, eating extra biotin will not make your hair grow faster or thicker. If you still want extra biotin, I would suggest taking a multi-vitamin every day or every other day. Or you can consume foods that are a good source of biotin, such as eggs.
