Please Please Help, All You Makeup Intelligent People Out There!?

K, so i just posted this like.. 25 min. ago & got one answer.
Please give me some variety, & answer.
Please.
I’m incredibly desperate.
Advice on what makeup to wear?
Okay, here it goes.
I am makeup incompetent..
Working on that, but for now i am.
I am really dark, & my face is pretty oily.
Is there a good foundation & powder that would:
a) make my face look less shiny
b) Keep it from being so oily
and
c) make it to where it stayed that way ALL day long.

Thats my myspace.. you can go & see how dark i am.
I’m the girl on the top, & my face is a tad lighter than my arms.
And my eyes, i have short, not real thick lashes.
I want full, long lashes, but i don’t want it to be real clumpy.
Is there a certain mascara i could use that would make it look like that?
Or should i try fake eyelashes?
I don’t want to look too fake.
My eyes are also kinda large, but not in a bad way & they’re brown.
So what would be good eyeliner?
And how do i make it look good, flatter my face?
Cause i know there’s different ways.
And lastly.. cheeks..
What color looks good on dark skin?
Idkkk?
Darker or lighter..
Oh, & bronzing or highlighting powder. What is that?
And do i need it?
:D
Ohh, & lips.
My bottom lip is like..
twice the size my top one.
What colors?
Dark, light.
Don’t wanna look TOO dressed up, just everyday gloss.
I AM SO INCOMPETENT!
Pleaseplease help me.
Please!

for your face try a oil adbsorbing foundation thats your skin tone with a pressed powder on top that also matches. if your face startes to get oily take some toner in a spray bottel & spritz it on your face & blot DONT RUB it off. for your lashes. try an eyelash curler & apply two coats of mascara. (theyre all the same) as of blush: you really dont need it. but try a verryyy light pink. & dont put toooo much on. just a little sweep. your dark so you do not need bronzer or highliterr, it will just make you darker. for lips try a light pink sheer plumping lip glooss. apply extra to your top lip to make it look biggerr.

I would suggest going to different cosmetic counterd at your local dept. stores. Get a make-over. If you like it, buy some products. If not, go on to the next one.,I would suggest Prescriptives. Another thought. Consult a make-up artist. They are not brand loyal & while it may cost you a little upfront, you should get some pretty good info,.
Good luck I battled oily skin for years. I liked Prescriptives.

Hi! I’m a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant so I know of some Mary Kay products that would work well. We have an Oil Mattifier that’s great for oily skin, & our loose mineral powder foundation & cream to powder foundation are great foundations for oily skin. As far as picking out colors & stuff, there is a Virtual Makeover on my Mary Kay website so you can upload a picture of yourself & play with different colors. My website is http://www.marykay.com/kate. There are also application tips & stuff, just click on What’s New near the top of the page & you will be able to go to a page on Application Tips or Beauty Advice, they’re really helpful links. I hope this helps!!

Just make sure you cleanse your face daily with Neutrogena or something to keep your skin nice & healthy.
For foundation use one that matches your tone & when applying it just mix it with an spf. Just squirt a little bit of the foundation like a little tiny bit for color & more spf & blend it in your palm & just apply it evenly on your face.
Foundation is not for everyone so maybe just use a powder. Like bare minerals or something. That’s good too if you don’t want to use foundation.
For mascara, cover girl & l’oreal are pretty good. When you put it on make sure you kinda shake the brush to spread out the lashes & get an even coat. And eyeliner would be best if you put it on before mascara.
Bronzer looks really nice on dark skin. Something with like gold flecks in it but not too shiny. Get a blush brush & apply it like on the sides of your face, cheekbones. Make it subtle.
Blush if you want, something not too bright or pastel looking.

oh geez, i hope i can help…i’m not an aesthetician but we sort of went over this stuff in cosmetology school…here goes!!
as for foundation, & your oily skin, i have the same problem & found that the max factor foundation works wonders. it stays on long (and yes its a bit more pricey, but its worth it & not as costly as you can get). also, be sure to use a powder to help matte (like with photos, as opposed to glossy) your skin. i like loose powder & get neutrogena. also, you can get rice paper at many beauty supply stores that you can keep with you & dab your face if it does get shiny.
as for eyelashes, you could go the fake route. i wore them almost every day for a year & got it down pat. it takes a few tries to get used to it but it can be worth it. my secrets: use a liquid eyeliner first (this helps hide the line so they dont look so fake (if you cant get it on straight, dont worry, you can use a pencil later & blend it to look smokey). put the glue on the lashes & let it sit on there for 20-30 seconds so the glue partially solidifies, which helps so you dont have to hold it to your eyelid so long, & apply it with tweezers. & remember, you can reuse the same lashes for 1-2 months if you take care of them!
with your brown eyes, you could just go with the standard black for eyeliner, but blue always compliments brown well. just remember, if you want your eyes to look smaller, “close them in”…applying mascara to your bottom lashes will do this, & so will darker liner & shadow. to open them, you use lighter colors.
for your cheeks i would suggest a bit darker. i dont know if you have cheek bones to highlight, but if you want to bring out cheek bones rub a darker color along your cheekbones…its a bit hard to say with this without seeing your face structure ( i know you posted a pic, but i’m lazy :) )
bronzers are nice, they give you a sort of “glow”…i often use this as a blush, because it provides color, but its not “too much”. i recommend this for anyone, really.
and lastly…lips. i would recommend you get two colors. now hear me out…you can get them in a gloss so its not so dressy, but get a darker color for your bottom lip & a lighter one for the top. this way, you minimize the bottom one & bring out the top one, making them appear more even. its fairly easy to get colors that are the same hue, but different brightness…so it shouldn’t be a drastic difference (like say, don’t get a purpley color for the bottom & a real orangey one for the top)
    good luck!!!!!
