Eyelash Answers

My friend recently bought some false eyelashes. I was helping her put them on. & we are having a lot of trouble. We bought E.L.F. brand. & it came with its own glue. Are there any good tricks to putting them on & making them look good? any other tips are welcome too.

I have just started to wear mascara, & I have long, thick eyelashes. So I would hate to damage them. I am the only girl in my family so I have no mom or anyone to help me out with this. Anyway, the brand is called Rimmel, & it says extra Super Lash on the tube lol. I don’t want to ruin my eyelashes, so I was wondering if this mascara could do anything that would shorten them or anything. If so what brand would your recommend? Please don’t suggest fake eyelashes or things that help your eyelashes grow. Lol. I just need to know if I should keep using the one I’m using or use a different one. Thanks!

I’ve been looking for a good, yet cheap & prerferably drugstore brand eyelash curler. It should be easy to use, leaves no crimps, & delivers a nice clean everyday curl. By this I mean nothing too dramatic seeing as I will be curling my lashes before school & classes, but the curl should be suitable for a everyday look. The eyelash curler should also not pinch because I’ve heard that being pinched on the lid with an eyelash curler is not quite what one would call pleasant. In general, it should be easy to use, gives me a satisfying everyday curl, & not pinch my lid easily.
If anyone knows of a drugstore brand that delivers all of the above, I’ll really appreciate it if you could tell me. In addition, please be specific because I know the the Revlon brand has several eyelash curlers. Let’s say you were to recommend one of them, please tell me exactly which one. Thanks.

For now, I have always just picked up eyelash curlers from Target, Walgreens…any of those kinds of stores. I go to Sephora a lot though & people are always talking about how the Shu Umera eyelash curler is the best.
So I was wondering if anyone has actually gone from drugstore curlers to the Shu Umera eyelash curler & noticed the big difference for themself?
I have super long eyelashes, but they are also SUPER straight, which makes it take forever to curl them without them falling right back straight before I can get my mascara on. I really wouldn’t take long to get ready in the mornings if it wasn’t for my lashes taking forever to curl! So, does the Shu Umera eyelash curler really work as great as they say?
Oh & if anyone knows about Sephora’s individual lash curler (the small one meant specifically for corners), how do you like that one?

im looking to try something new, & wanted some suggestions on a good brand.
point of info…..my eyelashes are really light colored like blonde, you cant even see them so i always wear mascara, so im looking for something that will give me a natural look. also they are long! so i would like a mascara that would give me clump free volume & good length!!! very important.
i have tried alot! almost everything you can get at like walmart or something, so any suggestions would be good from drug store to high retail. i would just like to know why you think that its a good mascara ..please state this in your answer so i can narrow my search for a good mascara!

price does not matter
it must be good for SENSITIVE eyes & SKIN(prone to breakouts) even around the eye area.
it must not TUG AT EYELASHES, because my eyelashes have a tendancy to FALL OUT easily.
and it must be able to remove WATERPROOF eyeliner & mascara.

I have a normal eyelash curler that cost me 6 or 7$.
Do u think that is a difference between these & those from expensive brands, like mac & shu uemura, or is it all the same?

Are they like toothbrushes, where the brand doesn’t really matter because they all pretty much do the same thing??
Or do you think certain brands are a lot better than others?
I don’t want to pay too much… but then again, I don’t want crappy eyelashes just cuz I was being cheap!

My favorite is Almay because their eye color kits really brings my eyes out. My least favorite is Maybelline because their mascara misses alot of my eyelashes & clumps, & their concealer doesn’t cover up well at all. What about you?

I don’t really care about that “volumizing” thicker look to my lashes that many people want. I just want them longer—or at least to look longer. Is there anything that can encourage growth? Also, I have tried many kinds of mascara, & they all just get clumpy, especially the “volumizing” ones. What brand will make my eyelashes look longer, without clumping?

My eyelashes are very thin & fragile.
Is there a good brand of eyelash curler or a method of curling, that won’t damage them & still make them curl.
