Eyelash Answers

Every day since about 9th grade (I’m now in 11th) Ive worn fairly heavy black eyeliner because without it, my eyes disappear. It seems that (lately at least), if I don’t renew my makeup perfectly before taking pictures, I look terrible. The eyeliner gets worn off after a while & I just look kinda gross.
I really want a new way to define my eyes.
I’d like more color in eyeshadow (I use silvery gray, I like the smokey effect, but it looks bad after a day at school). And I’m willing to either use thinner eyeliner lines, or maybe even switch to dark brown eyeliner instead of black. I’m also willing to use some mascara, but too much irritates my eyelash roots & I tend to pick at them, which is not good at all.
I’d like some suggestions at what products you think would look best on me. Subtle won’t cut it with my eyes, so I want it bold, but not too drastic.
Can you suggest a good brand & color (specifically) of eyeshadow that would compliment my hazel-green eyes? And what is a good brand of eyeliner? (I like the kind that you can roll out instead of sharpening it)

(I don’t really like my nose so that’s why I go heavy on the eye makeup, so my eyes distract from my nose xD)

im just starting to put on eyeliner from about a half a year or so & i tried putting it on today (a new eyeliner, same brand i always use) & it looks like crap. It looks really messy & when I look in the mirror I can see where the eyeliner starts & where my eyelashes start. It doesnt seem that way from when I put it on….any tips on how to put it on?

Where do you put eyeliner on? On the waterline of your eye where your lid meets your actual eye, or past your eyelashes, or on the line where your eyelashes are?
I used to put it on on the waterline, but that kinda made my eyes look smaller, so then I put it on past my eyelashes.
Is putting it in one area more dramatic than the other, & does it really make a difference where you put it, or is it just a preference?
What kind of eyeliner do you use? I prefer pencil.
I tried the liquid eyeliner & I can never get a straight line if I put it on the area past my eyelashes. And it looks like I missed because you can still see some akin where thhe eyelashes are. And if I put it on my waterline, then it leaks into my eye. Any tips?

I really want to start wearing eyeliner on the top but, I don’t want it to look so thick. Girls at my school wear TOO much eye makeup. I just want to wear some eyeliner on the upper lid. How can I make the line thin? Also I wear Lash Blast mascara & it makes my eyelashes reeally long but not so thick? how can I make my eyelashes thick?

NO EYELINER ON THE BOTTOM (WATERLINE OR LASHLINE)

I don’t wear eyeline, because when i try to put it on the bottom of my eye- my eyelashes make it look horrible (getting clumped up on the lash)- any tips?

What kind of mascara & eyeliner is best for blue eyes? I want a very subtle, natural look. Ive got very thick, long eyelashes, so I don’t need volumizing or lenghening mascara, & I’d preffer a liquid liner. Tell me the brand & the color. If you can, add a picture of what it looks like on. I love wearing eyeliner, but I always get a big black smudge underneath my eyelashes — can’t figure out how it’s happening but it does every time! It always looks like somebody beat me up, so I have to be sure & check myself in the mirror all the time.
Any tips on how to prevent this?

Do you think I should use it? I have big green eyes, long eyelashes, ash blonde hair, rather pale skin. In combination with black mascara?
Both mascara & the eyeliner just on the upper eyelids & eyelashes. Ok or not? What other eyeliners, type & colors could suits me?

Not at all. I pull chunks all the time & fill it in with liner.

i have oval shaped blue eyes & a pale face
eye liner & me dont always get a long but i need to know wat color to use, were to put it more heavy, & how to get it on with out it clumping up my eyelashes!!

could somebody explain to me how you would get a thiner line on top of your lashes that looks like it’s blending in with the eyelashes?
I use one of those rolling-out eyepencils with the sponge on one end but I can’t get it to blend in with my eyelash line. Basically I can see the skin in between the eyelashes. (same thing with liquid liner).
I have tried applying eyeliner in between but it doesn’t work so well because I have thick eyelashes.

So I use eyeliner a lot & it always looks crooked so I have to wipe ot off & start over again almost everyday. Is there like a special way you can put on eyeliner without it getting crooked? I put it on on the top of the eyelid & some on the bottom but mostly on top. And I use mascara too. When I put on my mascara the brush is kinda spiky & isn’t real thick. My eyelashes always get bunched together & it looks ridiculous & later in the day the mascara stays on but my eyelashes are all over the place.. Is it the brand I’m using? Any advice?

my eyelashes are sore from masccara & it hurts when i put on eyeliner cuz that skin got soft or something & its tender. why is that? can you help me with it & good applying tips??

i have naturally curly eyelashes & i need tips on putting on liquid eyeliner on my top lid. it irritates me because whenever i put it on it gets all over my eyelashes & clumps & wont come off because it is waterproof. HELP?

I never put on make-up & I’m going to a formal ball. I was wondering if I needed to put on eyeliner to make my eyes look “prettier”. I always worry because I don’t want my lashes to fall out & when I try removing eyeliner, even the crappy ones, an eyelash falls out. Do I really need eyeliner? Or can I just put a thin line on the bottom? How do you make your eyes look bigger with eyeliner or eyeshadow?

When I try to put eyeliner on the top lid(on the bottom of the top eyelashes) the eyeliner never shows up. I have asian eyes…and because of that, I don’t have the eye crease that most people have. any advice as to how I can make the eyeliner come out on the top lashes.thanks

Hi. I was wondering what I could do to make my eyes more defined & bigger. I have sort of a roundish face & small eyes. I tried mascara, but it didn’t really help that much. And when I tried more layers…it got all spidery. Is it my mascara? Do most mascaras work alone, or must they be paired with eyeliner? How about an eyelash curler?
I have tried eyeliner, but my eyes are soooo sensitive to pointy objects its insane. And it felt like it was shredding my waterline.
(It’s not the liner, ive tried others.)

I wear black liquid eyeliner monday-friday on my bottom lid for school…..I apply it in the skin in the eye (NOT the below the eyelashes)
The other day, some girl at school said if you wear eyeliner all the time it will cause you wrinkles around your eyes…
so is this true? If it is, is there anyway to prevent it?
Also, how do I remove the eyeliner at night? I always use a cotton ball with eye make-up remover…

I don’t know how to put on eyeliner. Is 12 too young? Do you put it below or above the eyelashes? I don’t know anything! Please give me tips & tell me how to put it on. Thanks;)
