Eyelash Answers

I have a bad habit of pulling my eyelashes. I pulled big chunks out. And I had to pull hard too to take them out. And now my eyelid is hurting its like sore.

Not at all. I pull chunks all the time & fill it in with liner.

please help me just recently i got eyelash extensions.. & they were bugging me so i played around with them… & a whole chunk came out.. WITH THE ROOTS! what do i do? will they grow back.. i heard olive oil helps.. is that true?

I was curling my lashes & my curler kind of slipped out of my fingers making it turn & it ripped out half of my lashes! Will they grow back? & how long will it take? what can I do to make then grow back faster? I’m so sad & my eyelashes were so long & pretty ;-(

Basically, i got real stressed one day & plucked half my eyelashes out on one eye… its not just half throughout the whole upper eyelid but one half of it is completely bare & the other side is normal…
Will the eyelashes on the bare side grow back? (there is absolutley no eyelashes on that half).
No stupid comments.

and is there anything that will speed up the process?

What do i do!! Its so bad i don’t know how to hide it.

And do you know any way of preventing this or tips

ok, so i am not very good with make up (im only 13) & i wouldnt wear it to school or anything just yet. But lately i have been playing around with it because i just want to know how to do it.
but today i tried some mascara & then when i went 2 remove it (i have make up remover pads) i kind of folded the pad & lightly pulled on the lashes to get the stubborn waterproff mascara off. but then i did it not so carefully & pulled out about 10 eyelashes.
it really hurt & on the ends of a few lashes were those little white root things. its not really noticable but i was just wondering… will my eyelashes grow back? if so how long will it be befor they do come back???

well, I was in the washroom at school today, & while I was trying to curl my eyelashes, a girl hit my arm, & half my eyelashes on my left eye got torn off, from the root!
will they grow back, or am I going to be.. half-eyelash-less? ):

I have really long eyelashes, & I don’t usually pull them , but for some reason a section of them started to hurt , & it felt as if it was one eyelash causing the pain. Well I ended up pulling a tiny section out, & now it’s a weird bald spot.
Anyone know how long it will be untl they grow back?
It’s not huge, & i don’t obsessively pull them…I’m just worried.

According to Dr. Stephen Juan, eyelashes, which are more plentiful on the upper eyelid than on the lower eyelid, are shed continuously. Each of the more than 200 hairs per eye lasts from three to five months.
So, with a little patience, your eyelashes will grow back. If it really bothers you, would you consider wearing false eyelashes?
Good luck to you… & don’t be in such a rush next time to curl your eyelashes. I did it once & it hurt a lot!

I went to a cosmetic store & one of the ladies told me that when eyelashes are pulled out due to like eyelash curlers & fake eyelashes & such they don’t grow back ever, is this true?

I used to have the permanent eyelashes done. After a month the real eyelashes fell out with the extension. There was nothing left but it grew back in months. Now I still have same length of the eyelashes.

Okay, long story short, I had a bad fall, & on the way down, som eof my eyelashes fell out. I’m missing the middle section of my right eye I called my sister who is a cosmetolgist & she told me false eyelashes hinder their growth. Does anyone know any good remedies or something to help eyelashes grow in 2-3 weeks? I’m kinda stressing out.

There’s not really any miracle cure for it, unfortunately. Just have to wait for them to grow back. It IS possible. Anyone who says different doesn’t know what they’re talking about. I’ve suffered from the disorder Trichotillomania for 18 years & my eyelashes have been pulled out, grown in, pulled out again, grown back in, & so forth. Just need to be patient.
If you or someone you know does this, & are paranoid about it, try either black eyeliner to hide it, or use fake eyelashes until they start growing back. The eyeliner usually worked fine for me, but it’s different with every person. Hope that helps.

I was curling my eyelashes when my cat jumped up, knocked my arm, which made me jerk my arm & in doing so, pulled out all my eyelashes. Will they grow back?

I feel like it’s so noticeable but my husband says it’s not. Is there a way to make them grow back faster (if they do grow back)? It’s the eyelashes from the inner side of my right eye–I still have some left on my eye. I know this sounds silly, but I really liked my long eyelashes
