hi i want a new hairstyle for the new year
hav u got any ideas which will look nice on me
i got long eyelashes,medium size eyes

i got straight hair (not natural striaght)

and so i want a new hairstyle first i throught of getting a new frigne striaght down & long hair
but i got long hair upto my well more futher down past my shoulder blade
any advice or ideas that if i get a layers very very small layers on top & keep my hair long with a very heavy side frigne ( not side swept) will that look nice on a 13 year old.plz can u find any pictures of layers hair ( p.s – i got heavy,thick hair )

I pick the glue off the fake lashes when I re-use them on MYSELF. (I do NOT re-use lashes on clients)
Makeup remover works well to take the glue off my eyes. (baby oil or other oil if you don’t have makeup remover)
You can re-use them as long as they hold together. Remember to clean them before each use! (a mild soap should work fine)

I’ve just been researching Trichotillomania because I’ve been pulling at my body hair for years & it’s really getting to me.
It started when I was way younger, about 8/9 (I’m 17 now) I used to pull out my eye lashes until my eyelids were bald. I then started with the hair on my head, right at the hairline.
It all seemed to die down but over the last year or so I’ve noticed it again. I pull out the hairs on my arm, but only the ones that seem longer than others. I tweeze the hairs out of my legs & bikini line & I’m forever tweezing my eyebrows. I always find myself looking at them in the mirror to see if any need plucking out. The main reason I was researching this was because I’ve started plucking out my eyelashes again & I really don’t want to as it really knocks my confidence. I’m trying hard to resist.
Does anyone have any advice that can help me stop this? And what causes it?

I’m a 25 year old female. I’ve been engaged twice, & dumped twice. Not big on the dating scene. In fact, I’ve never done the “casual dating”… I’ve dated two men and.. well… yeah.
My last fiancee’s biggest complaint was that “You never dress up.” One of my biggest fears about dressing up is makeup… & I have no real sense of style. I’m terrified of going “over the top” into the slut appearance category, or with makeup the clown, but I also want to look sexy, attractive, & appealing. My idea of dressing up is “business casual”- khakis, a button-up blouse, & black shoes. I hate it. The other half of the time I dress like a tomboy- jeans, a t-shirt or a polo shirt & khakis.
I’ve watched videos on makeup from Youtube, but what I’ve seen… I have no idea how to pick a foundation, let alone apply it… and, uh, exactly what IS foundation? What use is foundation around the eyes?
Also, my meager experiments in the past with eyeshadow have been a dark brown at the tips of the eyelids, & a lighter brown up into the creases. How far up should I go? To the eyebrows? Or to the creases? And what are the “unspoken” rules about colors & eyeshadow? Is it reserved to match the clothing, the eyes, or the overall coloration? (e.g. why on earth do they even make brilliant blue & neon green eyeshadow?!)
What about mascara? Both upper & lower eyelashes, or just upper? I’ve never used an eyeliner before…
What about lipstick? I’ve been partial to a light, milk-chocolate brown (all 3 times that I’ve worn it in my life).
What materials should I use, & can you recommend a good set of makeup (preferably some colors that are cheaply available at my local Wal-Mart)? Or how about a link to a better tutorial, one that can take in my appearance?
Finally… I’m attempting to make my eyes look even. I have a tumor behind my right eye, & it makes it bulge out quite a bit. Do you have any techniques you could recommend to kind of “flatten” the eye, so it doesn’t stand out as much?

Also any thoughts you might have on nail-polish or hair styling (I like to keep my hair long, it’s about waist length, & has a red tinge in the sun- moderately wavy but I’ve been told by my hair dresser that it holds styles very well- & I’m about as experienced in styling my hair as I am at putting makeup on. My styling= wash, air dry, brush, & toss it into a ponytail). My best description of myself & my personal styles is “conservative” & “earth tones.”

I’m just wondering what you do to make sure you look good on holiday.
I always find it hard to look good on holiday because going on holiday usually involves swimming which basically means no make-up & natural hair.
My natural hair is huge, out of control & disgusting & I don’t have particularly good skin so going without foundation is going to be hard for me lol…so basically on holiday I look like a frizzy, spotty mess :s
What do you do to look good on holiday? Anybody in the same situation as me? It would at least be reassuring to know I’m not the only person who feels so unattractive on holiday lol…I’m hoping to get my eyelashes tinted before I go & I was hoping to get a permanent blowdry done at daniel hershesons in mayfair before I go but the waiting list is SO long.
Anyone got any advice or tips?

Okay, so I have bad luck with the ladies. I am a nice, funny guy. I am always respectful can be random, but I have bad luck with the ladies.I think part of this maybe how I look/ dress. OK i’ll start by telling you a bit about myself. I turned 15 about a month ago & live in England. I am 5ft 1 & have long blond highlighted hair which i style every day, big blue eyes with long eyelashes & perfectly plucked eyebrows, quite big lips which are always glossed, defined cheekbones & I always wear makeup everyday. I am quite thin & have nice legs (not too skinny but not fat) & quite a flat stomach but have quite big boobs. I wear short dresses, mini skirts, shorts & skinny jeans with tshirts & cardigans when i go out. I am quite fair skinned but regularly fake tan in the summer. I enjoy going out with my friends cinema shopping clubbing parties & skating. I am not in the popular crowd but am not a nerd, kinda in the middle but i have lots of friends. (although i dont have many guy friends) My personality is very very girly seriously u couldnt get more girly than me, loud, very chatty & friendly & i appear happy all the time. My family have quite alot of money & we live in a big house in a priveledged area. I am quite smart & go to an all girls grammar school & i got predicteed A*s in all my gcses but i dont act smart & sometimes people think i’m abit dumb.
BUT i have never had a boyfriend & i’ve only kissed a couple of guys. Its really getting me down & i’m starting to feel embarassed & bad about myself. I dont understand why boys don’t ask me out because boys check me out all the time when i go out but they never approach me or want to have a relationship with me. I’m scared of being rejected so i dont approach them. Do you have any advice for me about getting boys to ask me out? Anything would be appreciated

So, last week I went to my opticians & got soft contact lenses. They showed me the whole procedure, how I’m supposed to grab my eyelashes & my lower lid & then directly put the lense on the iris. And I managed to do it at the doctor’s place, with the kind lady standing next to me, giving me advice the whole time.
I’ve been trying to do it at home for the last week, but every time I just give up. It seems that I can’t force myself to do it. It is like this instant reaction that doesn’t let me get too close with my finger to my eye. I almost managed to do it a few times, & I would feel the lense, & it was unpleasant, & because of that I would immediately blink(which I know I shouldn’t do) & it would end up on my index finger, where we first started. So, yeah.. :-/
I was hoping someone could give me some kind of advice on how to get rid of that fear or whatever it is, so that I can “poke” my eye xD

I guess I’ll say a little of myself here. I’m 20 single never kissed, a girl held, hands with a girl, or even had a date. Yes I am an extremely shy guy, but I have tried to ask a few girls out & it went bad, 6 times to be exact. I’ 5′7″ medium build & girls always say I have good hair/eyelashes, unless they start saying dirty comments… My hobbies are the internet, Tae Kwon do, & Watching Animes. When I was in Middle school/ early high School I used to be a hormone crazed horn dog like all other guys, but one day two very good looking girls asked me to have a threesome & I thought, wow this is an opportunity, but then I thought about the whole saving myself for one girl only thing, I thought I had weak constitution & allowed myself to be influenced into no longer caring but part of me still cared. And I decided to wait, but I’m twenty & well lonely/ very nervous all the times I tried to ask girls out & would very much appreciate getting advice on landing a charming, attractive, intelligent, pure virgin woman. I tend to feel attracted to light eyes natural blonds, tan brunettes, & cute Asian girls, especially Filipinas. I really don’t care about bust or anything like that just legs & rear, them being smaller than me & straight long hair in appearance, but many times I found what my friends consider less attractive girls more attractive because of chemistry or conversation or attitude or something. Anyways I am just an Angsty twenty year old who in this day & age still values virginity & needs some advice. I don’t know how my preferences or hobbies will help , but I figured I might as well let you guys know me a little since your gonna take your time & help me. Please do not suggest look in churches because I find that to be the wrong reason to go back to church, & please do not make virginity is “meaningless” comments because it is something that I value & would like to share with a girl that waited for me & only for me just like I will for her. my friend invited me to the valentines dance at her school. I already have an outfit selected & I need makeup that would compliment the outfit & my face (really hard, I’m not exactly pretty…) but anyway, here’s the outfit:
Black & white checkered double layer miniskirt,
black leggings,
black eyeliner,
black shirt with a square cut chest & slightly puffy sleeves.

I don’t wear any pink under any circumstances. whatsoever.

I bought false eyelashes in October for a party. I saved the lashes & tibe of glue & was going to wear them tonight for a carnival party. I have just come to apply them & the glue has completely solidified, Its turned into a rubbery substance. Why has this happened? Can I somehow melt it & use it because it is Sunday & there is no where open to get some more! I am gutted, I am dressed like the 60’s & the women all had huge eyelashes then! ;(

i am having a lot of trouble getting my contacts in. whenever i get close with it & it starts to go in i jerk back & and blink & it falls onto my eyelashes. i’ve practiced touching my eye & everything. my eye doctor let me take them home to practice with on Jan. 13. over a month ago & i still haven’t gotten them in! my mom wears them & my dad has tried to help me but i still cant get them in! in fall 2009 i am going into high school & i dont want to wear glasses all freshman year of high school, i’m scared enough as it is to go to high school. advice anybody?? pleasee leave some advice

i got so into curling my eyelashes this year
but do i put the mascara on before or after curling
i heard that u were supposed to do it after but the thing is when i do it after it ruins my curl & when i do it before the curl doesnt come out right
any advice?
plus i heard that now in days for chapped lips to put chapstick on & than apply the lipgloss
know any more tricks like this??
&& one more thing. sorry. my ma told me if u put honey on ur eyelashes it will make them stronger..idk if its like an old remedy & its crazy or it really does work

I need advice on the best ways to reduce picking hairs & also help on my eyelashes, there hardly there any more & there very weak & thin i heard putting Vaseline on them every night makes them thicker & stronger is this true? any other good info that could help me?
also help on my eyebrows would be good too. but arm hairs aren’t exactly a bad thing that there not there
answers from people who have had or have Trichotillomania would be better as they understand what its like otherwise no silly comments from people about this problem because you really have no idea some of the things that trigger this off & im not ready for stupid comments about it yet im trying to get over this.

well both of my sisters have a lot of spanish features like big dark eyes, eyelashes, dark eyebrows, olive skin, shiny black hair. they are also short, thick & curvy.
me on the other hand im the complete opposite. im taller then them & underweight/lanky, i dont have any curves or boobs. im white, my skin is more pale than olive, & i have lighter hair, lighter eyebrows, small eyes, & basically very little eyelashes. makeup does not help me because i still feel ugly compared to them. i also wish my eyes were dark brown but they are light brown & this makes them look smaller.
every time i see them i get really upset, i dont know why. i just wish i could look like them. i cant accept that im so ugly & they are so beautiful. its like when i start to feel in a good mood my appearance brings me down. i can never just be happy. any advice?
