Eyelash Answers

I got eyelashes extensions glued on. Its been a week & there ready to come off. but i can feel my own eyelashes coming out with them!! if all my lashes fall off will they grow back & how long will it take?

I’m getting married in Baltimore, MD. Hometown is DC area. I’ve looked at websites & even done some trials but I’m not entirely happy. I want someone who can do BOTH makeup & hair, or at least a team who can do both so I don’t have to pay twice. I’m not opposed to paying someone who will travel to the area. Obviously it has to be on site.
Makeup artist must do eyelash extensions on location as well. This will be for at least 5 women’s hair & makeup, or up to 8 women plus flower girl.
The person must be Asian, preferably Chinese.

I’m 15 years old & asian… Honestly I don’t like using mascara ’cause I have really found one that WORKS – lengthens + volumizes. I have short & straight lashes too. I obviously wouldn’t wear the full out fanned, extremely fake-looking lashes, more of the natural ones. Bad or good idea? It might be a hassle in the morning getting ready so I’m thinking of just getting eyelash extensions instead.

I am a independent contractor at a very nice salon where i do hair, make-up, waxing, eyelash extensions & i also make my own jewelry & display it there. I have a pretty decent amount of client, & am very happy with those that I have. Because of the type of salon it is, we do not get walk-ins..which is fine because I don’t want to be at that type of salon anyways. I am very confident in my work & love what I do but I am having trouble getting more in to fill in some gaps here & there to the point where I am always completely booked. I have made flyers & put them on cars in various places…went from business to business with them…they have coupons on them & a brief description of what I do. I have sent some to clients saying they will get a discount for referring..and that has brought a couple in but I’d like to have more. I also put an add in a local coupon magazine that everyone in the area gets for free. I am involved in many local art shows with my jewelry in which I give out my business cards to all other artists & buyers. I know it’s a rough time for alot of people right now money wise but I know there are people out there that I can get as clients…and I want to get them as soon as I can because I’m sure it would be best to get them before the holidays. Any suggestions are welcome & appreciated!…and because I am an independent contractor, I do not have a boss or anyone to tell me I can or cannot do this or that so I am able to advertise or get myself out there in any way I want, without promoting the rest of the stylists as well.

last night, i went to bed, noticing that my eyelids were a little red. i rubbed them a little bit. part way through the night, i felt like they were swollen so i woke up & i look like a damn blowfish! you can’t even see the crease in my upper eyelid…
i have been wearing eyelash extensions for the past 3 months & get them touched up every 2 weeks. i also wore them last summer with no problem whatsoever. but i assume since it’s the only foreign thing on my body, they may be the cause…?
BUT I also have been feeling itchy on my upper back & neck. i have hives. think that’s related? maybe i have an allergy? i’ve been getting over a cold as well…
i put cortizone cream on my upper back & neck to try to aleviate the hives but don’t know what to do for my eyes. waiting til the drug store opens so i can get benadryl.
i have an interview today! how can i make this puffiness go away before the end of the day?

Hi everyone. Well basically, i am in two minds as to whether or not i have this ‘thing’; people who know me well say i must have it, though they aren’t doctors. Basically i have had a bit of a troubled life so far, i am 19 years old, have been raped (which i think has damaged my self image quite a bit & my perception of myself as a person) have battled with drug/ alcohol addiction (i got clean & went to rehab at 17) & have experienced numerous other trauma’s which i wont dwelve into. Anyway, since i have got clean off drugs it’s like i am just OBSESSED with my appearance. And not in a vain way either, i mean like not looking in mirrors checking myself out, but looking in mirrors because i feel so self- conscious & ugly. I can see all my flaws, dark circles round my eyes, smallish eyes lines from my nose to lip corners.. Soo much to say, horrible body shape, broad back.. My main focus is my eyes, so far i have spent vast amounts of money getting my eyeliner tattooed on (i am not happy with the results & am due to get a consultation at Harley street very soon) have also spent a lot on eyelash extensions etc.. To make my eyes bigger. I normally always leave the beauty salon slightly dissapointed that they couldnt drastically change my appearance, yet i always go back for more. My parents think i am really stupid to spend all this money & shout at me & to stop & criticise me constantly.
I’ve got a lot of issues on the inside, & sometimes feel that if i looked perfect on the outside the issues i have on the inside would just melt away & not affect me anymore.. The way i feel about my appearance has gotten so bad now that i virtually NEVER go out socially anymore; i have been out socially 3times since August of last year.. Because i dont want people to look at me & think im ugly.
Anyway what do you think do you think i have body dysmorphia? I dont really because i always thought body dysmorphia was when a pretty person thought of themselves as ugly, but as i am just so ugly i guess what i think must be right if that makes sense. Thanks anyway.

i am studying & going to be opening a home salon in the next coming year but am struggling to pick a name to call it…….. i really liked “the beauty spot” but as a registered business name that is already gone. i live in north queensland so up here its known as “the topics” or “tropical NQ” so i guess it could have something to do with tropical……im open to all ideas except i dont want my name or street name or family name in it anywhere………throw some suggestions my way please???????? it will be a salon of spray tanning, nails, waxing, tinting, eyelash extensions, massage, & professional make up

Hey Guys, here’s my latest dilemma.
Its school holidays right about now & ive been unhappy with how i look & my personality.
I’ve chosen to get my hair done, get my eyebrows waxed, get a facial, eyelash extensions, a pedicure & acrylic nails done to make me feel better.
Second thing is my friends
I try calling or texting them to catch up but they are always busy.
just recently i organised to go out with one of my besties
but she cancelled on me & i found out she went to the beach with some other friend
i really hate my group of friends, they aren’t true friends at all
im one of those people who used to have best friends & used to do stuff
with them everyday & night but this group doesnt.
its bothers me all the time.
theres also anther so called ‘popular’ group at school that i wish i was with
they are not stuck up, they’re really nice
but like thats ever gonna happen

I went to the salon today to get eyelash extensions. I waited an hour for the lady to even show up. After she finished the lashes I told her they were too long, so she trimmed them really poorly. Then they just looked horrible, so I had her remove them. When she took them off all my natural lashes had been cut off!!! I was & am very upset & disappointed.
but here is my real question…when I came home from the salon all upset, all my bf said was “i told you not to go” that made me feel worse. I don’t feel pretty at all. & he is making me feel worse by saying hurtful stuff & ignoring me while i’m sad. I went there to look better, not worse. so I feel like my pride has been hurt…i’m upset & he is not comforting me in the way I wish he would. what should I do????

I have been working as a eyebrow technician for this company for 5 years. The business is privately owned. The services that I provide include eyebrow waxing/plucking, facial waxing, makeup application, eyelash extensions (applying fake eyelashes) & we also sell cosmetics. I make 8.50/ hour plus tips. I would also like to add that I have my cosmetology license. I would like to know if I am making enough money because I feel like I am being taking advantage of. I also want to add that the prices recently went up on our services. Any responses are appreciated thanks.

Most cosmetic ads on TV these days (esp. L’Oreal) use hair extensions on their models when advertising shampoo & conditioner, fake eyelashes when advertising mascara and/or enhancing both with computer graphics. There is usually an almost invisible notice flashed up in the bottom left hand corner for a few seconds telling us that’s what they’re doing, but who thinks they are misleading consumers?
We know that the models are very beautiful but if even they have to be enhanced, what hope is there of the product making the rest of us look any better? If Linda Evangelista needs computer trickery to make her eyelashes look better, or Claudia Schiffer needs hair extensions before being deemed fit to advertise shampoo I may as well seal myself up in a dark room so nobody need look upon my hideousness!

i have sew in hair extensions. because i’m waiting for my hair to grow. i don’t have a fake tan, nor fake nails nor do i wear fake eyelashes. it’s only the sew in hair extensions :p do guys care? is it a big turn off. & a big no no.

is there anyway 2 grow my eyelashes without getting eyelash extensions because i’m scared i might mess up with the glue stuff & some of the salons don’t do them right & if there is how much does it cost & where can i find it

Background information: I use to be a swimmer, & now I work as an aquatic instructor. I spend about 4 days a week in chlorinated atmosphere & in the water. My hair is damaged, & it’s naturally thick & dry.
I plan to treat myself to getting my hair done, but I don’t know what some of these mean or what they are. Help?
What are “perms/relaxers”?
What is “deep conditioning”?
What is “hair repair”? (like what do they do? etc.)
What is “highlift”?
What’s the difference between “hilights” & “foils”?
What is “color correction”?
What is a “cut with colour service”?
I was thinking of doing eyelash extensions as well & the salon I am looking at does partial for $20-30, & full for $35. Because I hear permanent eyelash extensions (last about a month right?) cost like over $60 so I’m assuming from the cost of these eyelash extensions, they will last for a day? And is it probably a bad idea to get them at all if I work at the pool? I have no eyelashes.
I’m trying to pick between deep conditioning or hair repair by the sounds of it. Deep conditioning is $15 & hair repair $25. I don’t want to get something done but let the chlorine ruin it afterward, so something short term. I just want to make my hair feel nice for a change, even for a short period of time.

i wear bleach blonde hair extensions eyelash extensions fake tan & acyrlic nails. i love girly pink tattoos & make up. do u think i come accross too fake n shud be more natural?

I want a mascara that actually looks like your eyelashes are HAIR. Do you know what I mean? I’ve heard that Diorshow was really good so I tried it, but the only thing is, i put on one coat & they don’t look like hair, the look like thin lines of black coming from my lid. I know its really hard to get but does anybody sorta know what i mean & have any recommendations?????
